Overview

A project template that adds studio-style structure to Claude Code for game development: 49 subagents in three tiers, 74 skills such as /start, /brainstorm and /dev-story, 12 hooks and 13 path-scoped rules. A project.yaml `modes.rigor` setting (minimal, standard, full) controls how much documentation and review the workflow requires. It includes agent sets for Godot 4, Unity and Unreal Engine 5.

Who it is for: Solo or small-team game developers using Claude Code with Godot, Unity or Unreal

Strengths

  • Engine-specific agent sets for Godot 4, Unity and Unreal Engine 5
  • Single modes.rigor setting scales process from jam-style minimal to full director review
  • Hooks validate commits, pushes and asset JSON; deny rules block force push and rm -rf
  • Stories that change visuals need a launched game and a retained screenshot to close

Weaknesses

  • Requires Claude Code; no other coding agent is mentioned
  • Hooks need Bash, and Python 3 is needed to read project.yaml
  • README's own test ranked the standard rigor build last against minimal
  • No sample game is shipped, so output quality cannot be inspected in the repo

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs Claude Code, Git, Python 3, Bash, jq (recommended)
  • Models: Claude (Opus, Sonnet, or session model)
