Overview

Orchestrator.inc is a local desktop app with a background daemon that runs multiple coding agents side by side, each in its own branch and git worktree. A project-level orchestrator agent can plan work and spawn workers. A Kanban board tracks each worker's pull request, CI and review state, and can send failures or review comments back to the owning agent.

Who it is for: Developers running several coding agents in parallel across one repository

Strengths

  • Each Git-backed worker gets its own branch and worktree, avoiding branch collisions
  • Supports 30+ agent harnesses, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Aider, Gemini CLI and Goose
  • Kanban status is derived from session, PR, CI and review state
  • Desktop installers for macOS (arm64, Intel), Windows and Linux (AppImage, deb, rpm); no CLI needed

Weaknesses

  • Desktop app only; no Docker or server deployment is documented
  • Worker, Chat and reviewer support differs per agent; a separate capability matrix is needed
  • macOS may block first launch and require right-click Open
  • Agent CLIs must be installed and configured separately; RAM requirements are unknown

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs Git, Agent CLIs (Claude Code, Codex, etc.)
  • Models: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, opencode, Aider
