Overview

yomiyasu is a skill for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and similar agents that edits Japanese text written by AI. It fixes figurative verbs, unclear subject-predicate relations and needless decoration in technical articles, specs, PR descriptions and internal reports, while keeping the original meaning. It bundles Python scripts for linting and diffing the text before and after editing.

Who it is for: Japanese-writing engineers using coding agents for docs, PRs and articles

Strengths

  • Bundled lint, diff and check scripts flag changed numbers, negations and swapped particles; stdlib-only Python
  • Installs via npx skills, gh skill, openskills, Claude Code plugin, or a ZIP for Claude.ai
  • 12 document types and 3 reader levels, so normal conventions such as minutes bullets are kept
  • Rules forbid adding facts absent from the source; unresolved points go back to the writer as questions

Weaknesses

  • Japanese text only; the README is mainly in Japanese with a short English version
  • Only used when named in the request or via a standing instruction line
  • Scripts match fixed patterns and do not judge meaning or readability
  • Interactive mode, Windows, Cursor, Codex Cloud and Claude.ai ZIP are untested
