Overview

56 JavaScript snippets that measure Core Web Vitals, loading, interaction and media performance, each returning an object that follows one schema. They run in the DevTools console, a Playwright-based CLI, an MCP server, a DevTools extension (beta) or as Agent Skills, so an AI agent interprets fixed measurement code instead of writing its own.

Who it is for: Web developers and AI-agent users auditing page performance

Strengths

  • Same snippets run in console, CLI, MCP server, extension and Agent Skills
  • Snippets are tested in CI and return structured objects under one schema
  • CLI supports performance budgets and a GitHub Action for pull request gating
  • Skills include decision trees that pick the next snippet from the previous result

Weaknesses

  • Snippets are tested only in Chrome; Safari has limited Performance API support
  • DevTools extension is beta and installs from a zip
  • CLI and MCP server need Playwright with headless Chromium
  • Lab measurements of single page loads; field data needs a CrUX key

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs Node.js (npx), Playwright / headless Chromium, Chrome DevTools MCP (for skills), CrUX API key (optional)
  • Models: Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, OpenCode
