Overview

Two Claude Code skills. /tutor-setup converts PDF, TXT, MD, HTML and EPUB files, or a source code project, into an Obsidian StudyVault with linked notes, dashboards and practice questions. /tutor then runs quiz rounds of 4 multiple-choice questions and tracks proficiency per concept, updating the vault files after each round.

Who it is for: Students and new developers using Claude Code with Obsidian

Strengths

  • Auto-detects document or codebase mode from project markers like package.json or go.mod
  • Codebase mode generates onboarding notes, flow traces and exercises for new developers
  • Per-concept tracking stores attempts, correct count and error notes to drive drill sessions
  • Installs with one npx skills command or a manual install.sh

Weaknesses

  • Requires the Claude Code CLI; other agents are only implied via npx skills
  • Vault format and dashboards are built around Obsidian, though it is only recommended
  • No release published; no tests or output quality benchmarks described
  • Quiz format is fixed at 4 questions per round with 4 options each

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs Claude Code CLI, Obsidian (recommended), npx skills (optional installer)
  • Models: Claude (via Claude Code)
