Overview
Traycer is a desktop app that connects to coding agents you already subscribe to, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and Copilot, and runs several in parallel. It shares context across models and providers, lets you switch models within an agent, and supports agent-to-agent messaging. Shareable boards and ticket assignment cover team use.
Who it is for: Developers who use several coding agents and want one workspace
Strengths
- Connects to 25+ existing coding agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Copilot
- Switch models within one agent while keeping the same context window
- Native installers for macOS (arm64, x64), Linux (AppImage, deb, rpm) and Windows
- Shareable boards, ticket assignment and real-time editing for teams
Weaknesses
- Agent-to-agent transcript reading and message delivery vary by user, host and runtime
- Release builds may enable Sentry crash reporting and PostHog analytics
- Privacy Mode is opt-in for individuals; with it off, prompts may be logged
- Hardware requirements (RAM, GPU) are not documented in the README
What it needs
- Needs Coding agent subscriptions (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) or Traycer inference subscription
- Models: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot
