Overview
A showcase of reusable CSS transitions such as card resize, modal open/close, menu dropdown, icon swap and error shake. Each card gives a self-contained snippet with CSS custom properties, t-* classes and a prefers-reduced-motion guard. The same set is available through `npx transitions-dev add` and as an agent skill for Cursor, Claude Code and Codex, plus a Refine tool that suggests motion changes on a running app.
Who it is for: Front-end developers adding motion to UIs, including via coding agents
Strengths
- Snippets are plain CSS with custom properties and a reduced-motion guard, no framework required
- Install via `npx transitions-dev add <name>` or `npx skills add Jakubantalik/transitions.dev`
- Skill files are generated from index.html, so they match the showcase site
- Static HTML site runs locally with `python3 -m http.server`
Weaknesses
- Custom license for the transitions: redistributing as a competing library is prohibited
- Some transitions (e.g. confetti-burst) are Pro and need browser sign-in
- Refine's LLM mode depends on installing the Cursor CLI
- Fixed set of about eighteen transitions; no release tags
