Overview

Python MCP server built on FastMCP, nodriver and the Chrome DevTools Protocol that lets an AI agent control a real Chrome, Chromium or Edge instance. It exposes 101 tools for navigation, element interaction, network inspection, element cloning, cookies and CDP execution. Sections can be disabled, down to a 21-tool core, and it runs over stdio or HTTP with an optional bearer token.

Who it is for: Developers giving MCP agents a stealth browser for scraping and debugging

Strengths

  • Modular: full 101 tools, 21-tool --minimal mode, or per-section --disable-* flags
  • Network inspection and restricted Python hooks to intercept, block, redirect or modify requests
  • Element cloning extracts CSS, DOM structure, events, animations and assets via CDP
  • Runs over stdio or HTTP; HTTP supports a bearer token via environment variable

Weaknesses

  • Anti-bot results vary by site, region, browser and detector version, per the README
  • Exposes CDP, page JS, cookies and interception; README says to trust only local clients
  • Needs a local Chrome, Chromium or Edge install and a Python 3.10+ venv
  • README carries a paid sponsor placement for a proxy provider

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Docker
  • Needs Python 3.10+, Chrome, Chromium or Edge, nodriver, FastMCP
  • port 8000
