Overview
Rivet's agent infrastructure repo holds two projects. Rivet Agents runs agents such as Pi as durable Rivet Actors via the @rivet-dev/pi and @rivet-dev/sandbox-adapter packages. Sandbox Agent runs coding agents inside sandboxes and controls them over HTTP. Both ship on one version line.
Who it is for: TypeScript developers hosting durable or sandboxed coding agents
Strengths
- Agents run as durable Rivet Actors via published npm packages
- Sandbox Agent exposes sandboxed coding agents over HTTP
- Single version line across npm packages, crates and binaries
- Apache-2.0 license, active commits and releases in October 2026
Weaknesses
- README is a pointer table; setup and examples live in external docs
- No Docker or Compose files detected in the repo
- Two distinct projects in one repo, so scope is less focused
- Supported models and agents beyond Pi are not listed in the README
What it needs
- TypeScript
- Needs Rivet Actors
