Overview

QuickApp is a full-stack starter pairing an Angular 21 frontend with an ASP.NET Core 10 backend. It ships OpenIddict/OAuth2 JWT auth, user and role management with permission-based policies, EF Core migrations and an admin UI. An ai-rules/AI_RULES.md file and shared base classes let AI tools add features by following existing patterns.

Who it is for: .NET and Angular developers who want an auth-ready base for AI-assisted work

Strengths

  • OpenIddict/OAuth2 auth, roles, permission policies and user admin UI already built
  • Includes ai-rules/AI_RULES.md and base classes (BaseEntity, BaseApiController, EndpointBase)
  • EF Core Code First migrations, Swagger/OpenAPI, i18n and Bootstrap 5 theming included
  • MIT license, with a live demo of the Standard edition

Weaknesses

  • No billing or payments wired in
  • README lists SQL Server only; other databases are in the successor NetForge
  • Author says new work happens in NetForge, not QuickApp
  • No Docker or compose files

What it needs

  • TypeScript
  • Needs SQL Server, .NET 10 SDK, Node.js and npm

Quick answers
