Overview
Pixel2Motion is a Codex and Claude skill that fits a PNG, JPG or WebP logo to a smooth, semantically structured SVG, then authors CSS motion on top of it. It exports a dependency-free HTML showcase plus QA artifacts: fit overlays, motion frame strips and continuity probes. The workflow runs through Python scripts, with Playwright and Chromium for rendering.
Who it is for: Designers and front-end developers animating brand logos with coding agents
Strengths
- Vector fit is checked against the source with overlays and IoU, and smoothness is a hard gate
- Outputs separate SVG ids, motion.css and a standalone HTML page with replay and speed control
- Deterministic frame capture and continuity probes give reviewable motion QA evidence
- Live interactive demo on GitHub Pages and example before/after GIFs
Weaknesses
- Requires Python 3.10+, Pillow, numpy, Playwright and Chromium installed locally
- README publishing checklist says to add a LICENSE file, though MIT was detected
- Aimed at single logos; no batch or API workflow is described
- README promotes a commercial service for more polished output
What it needs
- no GPU
- Needs Python 3.10+, Pillow, numpy, Playwright, Chrome or Chromium
- Models: Codex, Claude
