Overview

A Node.js bot that connects to a local OpenCode server (V1 or V2) and the Telegram Bot API, so you can send prompts, switch models and agents, manage sessions, and answer permission requests from chat. It restricts access to one Telegram user ID and opens no inbound ports. It also supports voice prompts through a Whisper-compatible API, scheduled tasks, and file browsing.

Who it is for: Developers who run OpenCode locally and want to drive it from Telegram

Strengths

  • Access limited to one whitelisted Telegram user ID; no open ports or exposed API
  • Covers sessions, model and agent switching, worktrees, revert/fork, and permission prompts in chat
  • Supports both OpenCode V1 and V2 servers via OPENCODE_SERVER_VERSION
  • Installs with npx or npm; 12 UI languages; macOS, Windows and Linux

Weaknesses

  • Needs OpenCode running on the same machine; it does not work with other coding agents
  • Does not detect the OpenCode version; a wrong setting only shows as a log error
  • Sessions are not shared between OpenCode V1 and V2
  • README tracks main, so some described features may be missing from the npm release

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Docker + Compose
  • Needs Node.js 22.14+, OpenCode server, Telegram Bot token, Whisper-compatible API (optional, for voice)
  • Models: Any model configured in OpenCode
