Overview
Mobile MCP exposes tools for tapping, swiping, typing, app install/launch, screenshots, screen recording and device logs on iOS simulators, Android emulators and real devices. It reads the native accessibility tree first and falls back to screenshots with coordinates. It runs over stdio by default, or as a Streamable HTTP server with an optional Bearer token.
Who it is for: Developers letting coding agents control mobile devices for testing
Strengths
- Same tool set across iOS simulators, Android emulators and real devices
- Accessibility-tree-first, so most steps need no vision model
- Covers app management, logs, crash reports, screen recording and batch commands
- Optional Streamable HTTP mode via --listen with MOBILEMCP_AUTH Bearer token
Weaknesses
- Needs Xcode command line tools and Android platform tools installed locally
- iOS real devices need USB and trust; Android needs USB debugging enabled
- Cloud devices depend on the separate Mobile Next Cloud service
- Anonymous telemetry is on by default; disable with an env var
What it needs
- no GPU
- Docker
- Needs Node.js v20+, Xcode command line tools, Android Platform Tools (adb)
- Models: Any MCP-compatible client
