Overview

MCPJungle is a Go gateway that registers stdio and Streamable HTTP MCP servers once and serves their tools, prompts and resources at a single /mcp endpoint on port 8080. Clients such as Claude, Cursor and Copilot connect to that endpoint instead of each configuring every server. It adds tool groups, global tool enable/disable, a CLI and a dashboard UI, with SQLite by default and Postgres for shared deployments.

Who it is for: Developers and teams managing many MCP servers across AI clients

Strengths

  • Single /mcp endpoint replaces per-client MCP configuration
  • Supports stdio and Streamable HTTP upstream servers, with env var placeholders in JSON configs
  • SQLite by default, Postgres supported for team deployments
  • Tool groups limit which tools a given client sees

Weaknesses

  • Access control and OpenTelemetry are listed as enterprise-mode features
  • SSE upstream support is described as not mature
  • Stdio servers need the larger stdio image or a custom image
  • Default stateless connections respawn stdio servers on every tool call

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Docker + Compose
  • Needs Docker (optional), PostgreSQL (optional), SQLite
  • port 8080
