Overview
Lody connects machines you own to a shared workspace. Teammates can dispatch, watch and review coding-agent sessions (Claude Code, Codex, Kimi, OpenCode or any ACP agent) from desktop, mobile, web or CLI. Sessions can use separate Git worktrees and show diffs and PR/CI status. Machines connect with `npx lody daemon start`.
Who it is for: Teams running several coding agents across machines who want shared sessions
Strengths
- Works with any ACP-compatible agent, reusing existing local logins and subscriptions
- Per-session Git worktrees, diffs, line comments and PR/CI status beside the conversation
- Clients for desktop, iOS, Android, web and CLI; CLI commands support --json
- Machines stay private until the owner shares them with the workspace
Weaknesses
- README does not document self-hosting; sign-in goes through a Lody link
- Local-first sync is unfinished; the README says it is still moving toward it
- E2EE library exists but is not yet wired into the product
- No Docker or compose files; setup details live in external docs
What it needs
- no GPU
- Needs Node.js (npx), ACP-compatible coding agent, Git, GitHub
- Models: Claude Code, Codex, Kimi, OpenCode, ACP-compatible agents
