Overview

A set of 11 agent skills plus pure-Python scripts that parse KiCad schematics, PCB layouts and Gerbers into structured data. They compute regulator outputs, filters and derating, run SPICE testbenches, and check EMC with 44 rules. It installs as a plugin for Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Antigravity and opencode, and also runs as a GitHub Action for PR reviews.

Who it is for: Hardware engineers using AI coding agents to review KiCad designs

Strengths

  • Analysis scripts are pure Python 3.10+ with no required dependencies or KiCad install
  • Works across five agent CLIs and as a GitHub Action for PR checks
  • Covers power tree, ESD, thermal, EMC (44 rules) and SPICE with Monte Carlo
  • Includes supplier skills for DigiKey, Mouser, LCSC, element14, JLCPCB and PCBWay

Weaknesses

  • SPICE simulation needs ngspice, LTspice or Xyce; it is skipped without one
  • Supplier skills (e.g. DigiKey) use APIs, which likely need credentials; README excerpt is silent
  • Claude Code /plugin update may miss new versions; cache must be cleared manually
  • Only supports KiCad projects, not other EDA tools

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs Python 3.10+, ngspice, LTspice or Xyce (optional, for SPICE)
  • Models: Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot CLI, Google Antigravity, opencode
