Overview
HolyClaude is a Docker image that runs the official Claude Code CLI behind the CloudCLI web UI on port 3001. It bundles Chromium with Xvfb and Playwright, s6-overlay process supervision, 8 AI CLIs (including Gemini CLI, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode) and 50+ dev tools. Config and workspace are bind-mounted so auth and code survive rebuilds.
Who it is for: Self-hosters wanting a browser-accessible, containerized Claude Code workstation
Strengths
- Runs the real Claude Code CLI; Max/Pro OAuth or an API key both work
- Chromium, Xvfb and Playwright preconfigured, with shm_size set to 2g
- amd64 and arm64 images, with full and slim tags plus pinned versions
- Settings and workspace bind-mounted, so they survive container rebuilds
Weaknesses
- Compose template needs SYS_ADMIN, SYS_PTRACE and seccomp=unconfined, a weak isolation profile
- Full image bundles many tools; compressed size not stated in the README
- Kubernetes/Helm support is only planned
- Accepted upstream vulnerabilities remain in dependency scans, per the README warning
