Overview

Helmor is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that runs several coding agents at once, each in its own git worktree and branch. Diffs, a Monaco editor, terminals and PR actions for GitHub and GitLab sit beside the conversation. It also ships a `helmor` CLI and an MCP server, and stores its data locally under `~/helmor/`.

Who it is for: Developers running several coding agents in parallel on local repos

Strengths

  • One git worktree and branch per task, so parallel agents do not collide
  • Supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and Kimi Code with your own logins or keys
  • CLI with --json output and a stdio MCP server let scripts or other agents drive it
  • Create PR/MR, merge, fix CI and resolve conflicts from the UI; GitHub and GitLab

Weaknesses

  • Desktop only: macOS and Windows x64 listed, no Linux build mentioned
  • Mobile companion is experimental and relies on a Cloudflare tunnel
  • CLI is installed from Settings → Experimental
  • Plan mode and Slack/GitHub context are listed as not yet available

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs GitHub or GitLab account, Cloudflare tunnel (mobile companion, experimental)
  • Models: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Kimi Code

Quick answers

Is helmor open source?
