Overview
Happier is a multi-device client for running coding agents on your own machines. A daemon starts Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi and other ACP agents where your code lives, and an end-to-end encrypted relay syncs sessions to iOS, Android, desktop and web apps. It adds cross-agent subagents, git worktrees, diff review, an approvals inbox and an MCP server mode.
Who it is for: Developers running several coding agents who want mobile and remote control
Strengths
- Session content is encrypted on-device before reaching the relay
- Self-hosted relay runs the same features as the hosted one
- Sessions can delegate to other agents, and agents can be switched mid-session
- Mirrors existing Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode terminal sessions to every device
Weaknesses
- Relay still sees routing metadata such as session ids, timestamps and usage
- Requires the daemon installed on each machine that runs agents
- Voice assistant needs an ElevenLabs key or a local voice pipeline
- Preview and dev channels can break; hosted cloud runs stable only
What it needs
- no GPU
- Docker
- Needs Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode or other ACP agent CLIs, Happier relay (hosted or self-hosted), ElevenLabs (optional, voice)
- Models: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Pi
