Overview
Claudable is a Next.js web app that wraps locally installed coding-agent CLIs (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor CLI, Qwen Code, Z.AI GLM-4.6) behind a prompt-to-app interface with live preview. It generates Next.js code with Tailwind and shadcn/ui, and connects to GitHub, Vercel and Supabase using tokens you enter in settings. State is stored in a local SQLite file, and an Electron desktop build is available.
Who it is for: Developers wanting a local Lovable-style builder on top of their coding CLI
Strengths
- Supports five agent CLIs, so you reuse an existing Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor login
- Local SQLite database at data/cc.db, no separate database server needed
- Built-in GitHub, Vercel and Supabase integrations for deploy and Postgres
- Electron packaging scripts for macOS, Windows and Linux
Weaknesses
- Requires a separately installed and logged-in agent CLI, which may carry its own subscription cost
- No Docker or compose files; setup is clone, npm install and npm run dev
- Native MCP, checkpoints and subagents are listed as upcoming, not shipped
- Last tagged release is 2025-08-30; README references the opactorai/Claudable repo
What it needs
- TypeScript, Claude Code (Claude Opus 4.6), Codex CLI (GPT-5), Cursor CLI, Qwen Code (Qwen3-Coder)
- Needs Node.js 18+, Git, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor CLI, Qwen Code or Z.AI GLM agent, SQLite, GitHub, Vercel, Supabase
