Overview

Runs as an npx-launched MCP server paired with a Chrome DevTools extension, and passes console logs, network requests, screenshots and Lighthouse audits from your logged-in browser session to MCP clients such as Cursor, Claude Code and Cline. Version 2.0 is a single-process rewrite that binds to loopback only, requires a per-run token and redacts credentials before data leaves the browser.

Who it is for: Developers debugging live web apps with MCP-capable coding agents

Strengths

  • Reads your existing logged-in Chrome session, no throwaway debug profile needed
  • Per-tab capture with limit, offset and keyword filters to keep context small
  • Loopback-only binding, per-run token and credential redaction by default
  • Four Lighthouse audit tools, including accessibility, performance and SEO

Weaknesses

  • Requires manually loading an unpacked Chrome extension
  • Capture starts only when DevTools is open; earlier requests are not recorded
  • Firefox support is unverified and untested
  • Audits launch a separate browser and can take up to a minute

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs Node 22.19+, Chrome extension, Chromium-based browser for audits
  • port 3025
