Overview
A TypeScript MCP server, run with npx over stdio, that gives coding assistants 15 tools for Apple's developer documentation. It covers doc search, framework symbol lookup, platform compatibility, sample code, and WWDC 2014-2025 sessions with transcripts. WWDC data is bundled in the npm package (about 35MB), while documentation queries go to Apple's public endpoints.
Who it is for: iOS and macOS developers using MCP-compatible coding assistants
Strengths
- WWDC videos and transcripts are bundled in the package and work offline
- 15 tools: symbol search, related APIs, platform compatibility, sample code
- Install is one npx line; README gives configs for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Zed and others
- In-memory TTL cache per content type reduces repeat requests to Apple
Weaknesses
- Documentation queries depend on Apple's unofficial public endpoints and may break or be rate limited
- Rotates browser User-Agent strings to improve reliability, which is fragile
- Package is about 35MB because of bundled WWDC data
- Last release 2025-09-15; the sample code tool has framework filtering limitations
What it needs
- no GPU
- Needs Node.js, npx, Apple Developer Documentation public endpoints
