Overview

An agent skill, installed with `npx skills add`, that loads an app-type checklist, pulls App Store metadata with the `asc` CLI, and scans the Xcode project against markdown rejection rules. Rules cover review notes, subscription terms, privacy manifests, third-party AI consent and unused entitlements. Findings are reported with severity, affected files and fixes.

Who it is for: iOS and macOS developers preparing App Store submissions with an AI coding agent

Strengths

  • Rules are plain markdown files, each mapped to an Apple guideline number
  • Ten app-type checklists: subscriptions, kids, health, games, AI, VPN, crypto and others
  • Reports severity and affected files, then applies fixes and re-runs checks
  • Reads metadata through the asc CLI, so it checks what is in App Store Connect

Weaknesses

  • Depends on the asc CLI and its canonical JSON metadata layout; fastlane layouts need adapting
  • Only 14 rules documented, so coverage of Apple guidelines is partial
  • Checks are driven by the agent reading instructions, so results may vary between runs
  • No tagged releases; version pinning is unknown

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs asc CLI (App-Store-Connect-CLI), Xcode project, npx skills
