Overview
agtx is a Rust TUI that manages coding agent CLIs (Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Copilot and others) as tasks on a kanban board. Each task runs in its own git worktree and tmux window, and different agents can handle different workflow phases with context handover. It also offers an optional mobile web view, an MCP server, spec-driven workflow plugins and an experimental orchestrator agent.
Who it is for: Developers running several coding agents in parallel from the terminal
Strengths
- Supports nine agent CLIs, with a different agent configurable per workflow phase
- Each task gets an isolated git worktree and tmux window with persistent session history
- Checks Review tasks for merge conflicts via git merge-tree and sends the agent a fix skill
- Mobile web app with live agent terminal; server runs only while agtx is serving
Weaknesses
- Requires tmux; the gh CLI is needed for PR operations
- Orchestrator agent is marked experimental and needs a flag to enable
- Mobile board needs a binary built with the serve feature
- Served board can type into agents, so access relies on device pairing
What it needs
- no GPU
- Docker
- Needs tmux, git, gh (optional), Tailscale (optional, for remote mobile access)
- Models: Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor, OpenCode
