Overview
GPT Academic is a Python Gradio app that sends text to OpenAI, Azure, Qwen, GLM, ERNIE, Spark and local models such as ChatGLM and MOSS. It adds one-click buttons and hot-reloadable Python plugins for polishing, translating arXiv, LaTeX and PDF papers, summarizing, code analysis and mermaid diagrams. Configuration is read from config.py, config_private.py or environment variables.

Strengths

Weaknesses
- Documentation is mostly Chinese; the English README is a separate translated file
- Gradio compatibility issues; requirements.txt versions must be used exactly
- Full-capability Docker image bundles CUDA and LaTeX and is large
- No user accounts mentioned; last tagged release is December 2024
