Comfy Org is hiring: 4 open roles

Overview

ComfyUI-Manager is a custom node for ComfyUI that adds a Manager menu to install, remove, disable and enable custom nodes and download models. It reads a channel-based node database and the registry at registry.comfy.org, and also provides snapshots, missing-node detection and a cm-cli tool that runs without starting ComfyUI.

Who it is for: ComfyUI users who manage many custom nodes and models

Strengths

  • Installs, updates, disables and removes custom nodes from a menu inside ComfyUI
  • Snapshots save the installed state and restore it on the next startup
  • Install Missing Custom Nodes finds extensions needed by the loaded workflow
  • cm-cli runs manager functions without ComfyUI; config supports uv, pip overrides and offline mode

Weaknesses

  • Only works with ComfyUI; not usable standalone
  • Snapshot restore is incomplete for custom nodes not managed by Git
  • Install outside ComfyUI/custom_nodes/comfyui-manager breaks recognition and updates
  • No tagged release; installed by git clone or comfy-cli

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs ComfyUI, git, Python 3

Quick answers
