Overview
ClawX is an Electron and React desktop client that embeds the OpenClaw runtime and gives it a GUI for chat, agents, skills, model providers, messaging channels and cron schedules. Provider credentials are kept in the native system keychain. An optional Developer Mode feature lets agents operate the local desktop through a bundled CUA driver on macOS 13+ and Windows x64.

Strengths

- Depends on OpenClaw upstream, which the README describes as iterating rapidly
- OpenClaw's general web_search tool is disabled in ClawX
- Computer Use is off by default and needs Developer Mode and a vision model
- Overwrites edits to ~/.openclaw/skills/computer-use on every startup
