Overview
skillshare keeps skills (SKILL.md), agents, rules, MCP connections, hooks and plugins in one source directory and syncs them to Claude Code, Codex, Pi, OpenCode, OpenClaw and other tools, using symlinks or copies. It installs from any Git host, audits skills before use, and supports per-project setups committed with the code. It ships as a single Go binary with a web dashboard (`skillshare ui`) and a separate desktop app.

Strengths
- Single Go binary with no Node.js or npm runtime dependency
- One source syncs skills, agents, extras, MCP and hooks to many tools
- Built-in `audit` command, with auto-scan on install and update
- Project mode keeps skills in `.skillshare/` committed with the repo
Weaknesses
- Windows file symlinks need Developer Mode, otherwise files are copied
- Plugins sync separately from `sync --all`
- Desktop app is a separate repo; macOS build is Apple Silicon only
- Supported tool list is only partly named in the README (`and more`)
