Overview
Ruler reads Markdown rules from a `.ruler/` directory and writes them into the native instruction files of about 30 coding agents, such as AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, .clinerules and .goosehints. It also propagates MCP server settings and skills, supports nested `.ruler/` directories for monorepos, and manages .gitignore entries. A `revert` command restores files from .bak backups.
