Overview

An Agent Skill, also packaged as a Claude Code plugin, that has a coding agent write custom Playwright code for a browser task and run it through a run.js executor. It opens a visible Chromium window by default and returns console output and screenshots. SKILL.md stays short and a fuller API_REFERENCE.md is loaded only when needed.

Who it is for: Developers who want their coding agent to script and run browser automation

Strengths

  • Agent writes real Playwright code, so loops, assertions, network interception and video are possible
  • Scripts are plain files you can keep and rerun
  • Installs via the skills CLI for Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI and others
  • Runs headed by default, so you can watch the automation

Weaknesses

  • Requires a manual npm run setup step after install to fetch Playwright and Chromium
  • Only Chromium is installed by default; other browsers need npm run install-all-browsers
  • README points to Microsoft's playwright-cli for simple interactive browsing
  • Helper screenshots go to the OS temp directory unless PW_ARTIFACT_DIR is set

What it needs

  • no GPU
  • Needs Node.js, Playwright, Chromium
