Overview

MonoCode is a Tauri desktop app (TypeScript and Rust) that wraps coding agents you have already installed and signed in to, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and Devin. Each tab is a session, panes can be split, and work can be organized by project with separate Git worktrees and in-app file editing and change review. It does not sell tokens, so usage goes through your existing agent subscriptions.

Who it is for: Developers who use several coding agent CLIs and want one desktop workspace

Strengths

  • Supports eleven agents including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and Devin from one interface
  • Uses your existing agent logins; the app does not resell tokens
  • Per-task Git worktrees and side-by-side split panes for parallel sessions
  • Prebuilt installers for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Linux and Windows

Weaknesses

  • Requires at least one supported agent installed and signed in beforehand
  • README calls the project early; Monos agents and remote sessions are experimental
  • Not a standalone agent; no model or provider support of its own
