Overview
Exposes IDA Pro to MCP clients as tools for decompiling, disassembling, cross-references, renaming, retyping, commenting and patching. It runs as an IDA GUI plugin or as a headless idalib supervisor with one persistent worker process per open database (default max 4). The README now points to the official Hex-Rays IDA MCP Server as the recommended alternative.

Strengths

- Batch-first API with paginated searches (default limit 1000, max 10000) to avoid token overflow
Weaknesses
- Author recommends the official Hex-Rays IDA MCP Server instead
- Requires a licensed IDA Pro 8.3+; IDA Free is not supported
- GUI plugin install is no longer recommended and will eventually be deprecated
- Last release is 2025-10-06; installs track the main branch
