Overview
A pack of 14 SKILL.md skills plus an always-on router skill and hooks that guide Claude in building n8n workflows with the n8n-mcp server. Topics include expression syntax, Code node JavaScript and Python, validation errors, error handling, sub-workflows and AI agents. One skill covers deploying self-hosted n8n behind Caddy with Docker Compose.
Who it is for: Claude Code users who build n8n workflows via n8n-mcp
Strengths
- Covers specific gotchas, such as webhook data under $json.body and Code Tool string returns
- Hooks re-inject reminders on SessionStart, before get_node calls and after validate_workflow
- Installs as a Claude Code plugin; skill zips also work on Claude.ai and other SKILL.md hosts
- Includes a self-hosting skill with single and queue mode Docker Compose templates
Weaknesses
- Requires the separate n8n-mcp server to be installed and configured
- Hooks only run in the Claude Code or Codex plugin install, not Claude.ai uploads
- Self-hosting skill sits outside the workflow-building router and hooks flow
- Test instructions are hedged ('if testing framework available'), so the eval setup is unclear
What it needs
- no GPU
- Needs n8n-mcp, n8n, Claude Code
