Overview
Claude Squad is a Go terminal UI that launches several agent sessions at once: Claude Code by default, plus Codex, Gemini, Aider or any shell command. Each session runs in its own tmux session on a separate git worktree and branch, so parallel tasks do not conflict. You can preview output, review the diff, commit and push a branch, or pause and resume a session from one window.
Who it is for: Developers running several terminal coding agents in parallel on one repo
Strengths
- Per-task git worktree and branch isolation avoids conflicts between parallel agents
- Works with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Aider or any command via -p or named profiles
- Built-in diff tab, plus commit/push and checkout/pause/resume keys
- Installs as a single binary via Homebrew or install script
Weaknesses
- Requires tmux and the gh CLI to be installed
- Auto-accept (-y) is marked experimental and documented only for Claude Code and Aider
- Terminal UI only, no web interface
- AGPL-3.0 license may restrict some commercial uses
What it needs
- no GPU
- Needs tmux, gh, git
- Models: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Aider
